This privacy policy explains how Pokari ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit au.pokari-store.com or buy English and Japanese trading cards from us. We collect only what we need to process, ship and support your order. Please read it together with our Terms of service.

Who we are

Pokari is an online wholesale and retail shop for sealed Pokémon TCG and One Piece Card Game products and singles, shipping Australia-wide from Japan. You can reach us at any time through our Contact page or by email at au@pokari-store.com.

Information we collect

  • Order details: your name, email address, phone number, company name (if you give one), delivery address and the products you order.
  • Payment information: the payment method you choose. Card payments are handled by Stripe, so we never see or store your full card number.
  • Quote requests: the details you send us through our bulk quote form.
  • Order look-ups: the order number and email address you enter on Track your order, used only to find your order.
  • Technical information: the IP address used to place an order, to help prevent fraud and abuse.

You do not need to create an account to shop with us.

How we use your information

  • To process, pack and ship your order, and to send order confirmations, payment details and tracking updates.
  • To answer your questions and quote requests.
  • To prevent fraud and keep our website secure.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed with the companies that help us run the shop:

  • Stripe, for card payments.
  • Shipping carriers and postal services, to deliver your parcel (your name, delivery address and phone number).
  • Our website and email hosting providers.
  • Customs authorities, where shipment information is required by law.

Each of these companies handles your information under its own privacy policy. If you choose to pay by bank transfer or crypto, your bank or wallet provider processes that payment under its own terms. When you press "Track parcel" on your order page, you are taken to 17TRACK, an independent parcel-tracking website.

International transfers

Pokari is based in Japan, and your information is processed in Japan in line with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, overseen by Japan's Personal Information Protection Commission. Some of our service providers may store information in other countries. We take reasonable steps to make sure it stays protected wherever it is processed.

Cookies

Our website uses two small, essential cookies: one keeps your cart while you shop, and one remembers the currency you chose. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, but your cart will not work without them.

How long we keep your information

We keep order records for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and legal purposes, normally up to 7 years. Quote requests that do not lead to an order are deleted within 2 years.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights. For example, customers in the European Union have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to complain to their local data protection authority.

To make a request, email au@pokari-store.com. We will reply as soon as we can, and within the time the law requires.

Children

Our shop is intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), card payments are processed by Stripe, and access to order information is restricted to authorised staff.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
